Thirty six years ago, Jack & Jackie Portalaki settled in Penticton. They emigrated together from the beaut-
iful Island of Crete, Greece. It was here in Penticton where they raised their three children, Kosta, Minas and Eftalia. As a family, in 1996 they opened the small quaint, cozy restaurant La Casa Ouzeria. With the support of many and a very loyal clientele they expanded La Casa Ouzeria to their new location, 1090 Main Street. La Casa Ouzeria is a place where people experience delicious food with rich laughter, where friends get together to enjoy a little or a lot, but most of all it’s a charming Casa filled with life’s pleasures. The Portalaki family offers two types of authentic cuisine, Greek & Italian. By specializing in traditional homemade dishes, La Casa Ouzeria will provide you with an experience you won’t forget.

A bit of history about La Casa Ouzeria

The Portalakis family and staff at La Casa Ouzeria Restaurant invite you to bring your special occasion to The Palace Room.  The Palace Room is ready to accommodate
your party for birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, weddings, business
meetings, reunions, Christmas parties and retirement dinners with capacity for up to
60 people. Our Palace Room is the perfect spot for your video presentation; we are equipped with a projector, screen, laptop connections and surround sound. 

Whether you prefer a casual or formal style, the Portalakis family and staff will carefully and proudly prepare an exceptional plated or buffet style dinner.  The following menus are suggestions.  We will be happy to design a special menu to accommodate your party.  La Casa Ouzeria must provide all food and beverage. Greek food penticton We will provide all linens (table cloths & napkins) along with cake table, gift table and buffet tables, if needed.  The china, wait staff, set up and clean up are all included at no additional cost.  When figuring out final costs, there will be 15 % gratuity and applicable taxes (GST, and Liquor Tax). 

To use The Palace Room without La Casa Ouzeria’s food and beverage service, the room charge for half a day is $75, full day $150.  However, if you book The Palace Room for your occasion and desire a lunch or dinner to be catered by La Casa Ouzeria Restaurant, the room charge is waived.

If you're simply looking at taking a step back in time to reminisce about your past travels to Greece then you won't want to miss a meal in the La Casa Ouzeria Dining Room. Our dining room restaurant has a seating capacity of 110 and invokes the remarkable atmosphere of dining at the Palace of Knossos, Iraklion, Kriti. You have to see it to believe it, but we guarantee you'll be left in awe at our tribute to one of the most beautiful places on earth.
